About us

A mountain tradition, managed responsibly

AVPS Sfinia is an association of sport hunters and anglers in Caraș-Severin county, dedicated to the sustainable management of the game reserves of the mountainous Banat. We bring together people who love the mountains, the forest and the hunting tradition practised correctly and lawfully.

Our activity is not only about hunting, but first and foremost about caring for wildlife: monitoring populations, supplementary feeding in harsh winters and fighting poaching, in close cooperation with the forestry and game authorities.

What we do

Our activities

Hunting is only one part of what AVPS Sfinia is about. Fieldwork, conservation and sport fishing define us just as much.

Ethical hunting

We organise hunts in full compliance with the law, respecting quotas, seasons and the safety of participants.

Wildlife management

We monitor deer, wild boar and large carnivore populations and maintain a healthy balance.

Forest conservation

We set up feeders, salt licks and food plots and protect mountain habitats together with the forestry districts.

Sport fishing

We promote responsible sport fishing on mountain rivers and lakes, with an emphasis on the “catch and release” principle.

In the heart of the Caraș-Severin mountains

We operate in the mountainous Banat, among the peaks of the Semenic, Anina and Almăj mountains — a land of vast beech and conifer forests, wild valleys and rich wildlife typical of the Western Carpathians.

It is a territory where the red deer, roe deer, wild boar and large carnivores still find healthy habitats, and our role is to keep it that way for generations to come.
